Director of Compliance and Senior Property Manager

Kristofer J. Tan, MBA serves as the Director of Compliance and Senior Property Manager with GLC Property Management. Mr. Tan has helped transform GLC into delivering cutting-edge solutions for multifamily and commercial owners, landlords, clients, and principals.

Mr. Tan’s academic journey reflects a dedication to mastering the principles of management. Mr. Tan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Trident University International, gaining valuable insight into the dynamics of organizational principles, customer service, professional ethics and accounting management. Additionally, Mr. Tan holds a Masters in Business Administration from Western Governors University (WGU), further enhancing his knowledge in project management, microeconomics, macroeconomics and corporate social responsibility (CSR).  

Furthermore, Mr. Tan holds a Strategic Management Certificate from Harvard University, where he gained further insight into C-suite decision-making, principles and value creation.

Prior to his transition to full-time commercial property management, Mr. Tan began his real estate career with KW and its commercial department. At RE/MAX GOLD, Mr. Tan consistently ranked at the top 5% of all brokers and sold over $36,000,000 worth of real estate. Mr. Tan has been recognized with 8 awards from his real estate responsibilities.

Furthermore, Mr. Tan previously served on a Sacramento County city government commission and 3 government sub-committees for 6 years, earning 3 city acknowledgements. He currently serves as a program director and captain for a community safety organization in Placer County. His passionate and continual collaboration with local and federal law enforcement through highly effective non-profit community programs and strong partnerships allow for safer communities. Mr. Tan has been responsible for and currently oversees projects that have driven customer success, long-term growth, and most importantly, great and strong relationships. Mr. Tan's experience provide GLC's clients with insight and better success.

His expertise spans social development, operational efficiency, finance, operational excellence, service, and value creation. Mr. Tan’s deep understanding of the multitude of challenges that property owners face enable him and the firm to effectively assist investment property owners, landlords, clients, and principals. Furthermore, his passion, foresight, virtues and dedication to excellence has been central to his clients' continued successes. In addition to his role, Mr. Tan has been actively involved and responsible for charitable initiatives and scholarship events. Kristofer J. Tan and his wife, Victoria, are the parents of four children.
